Department: Digital Commerce Engineering

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in Adobe Commerce (Magento), modern web technologies, and content-driven digital experiences. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to improve customer discovery across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business analysis capabilities, and an understanding of SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). The candidate will help build AI-ready commerce experiences by implementing structured content, enhancing platform capabilities, and advising stakeholders on digital experience improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Adobe Commerce & Digital Experience Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Adobe Commerce (Magento) applications and storefront experiences.
• Build scalable, reusable, and performance-optimized components for content-rich experiences.
• Develop and extend GraphQL APIs to expose product, content, and metadata efficiently.
• Implement integrations with CMS platforms such as AEM, Sitefinity, Webflow, HubSpot, or similar systems.
• Support migration and modernization initiatives involving CMS and digital experience platforms.

SEO / AEO / GEO Enablement

• Implement structured data using Schema.org and JSON-LD across product, category, and content pages.
• Enable AI-friendly content architectures that improve discoverability in AI-powered search experiences.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize FAQs, buying guides, comparison content, and landing pages.
• Improve metadata strategy, taxonomy, internal linking, and semantic content structures.
• Ensure digital experiences are optimized for both traditional search engines and AI assistants.

Engineering & Marketing Collaboration

• Act as a technical consultant for marketing teams by providing recommendations on page structure, performance, SEO, and user experience improvements.
• Translate business objectives into technical implementation plans.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design workshops, and discovery sessions.
• Work with stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities and digital experience enhancements.
• Provide impact analysis and effort estimations for new initiatives.

Performance & Analytics

• Optimize site performance through caching, CDN, image optimization, and frontend best practices.
• Implement tracking and analytics to measure traffic, engagement, and AI-driven discovery.
• Monitor platform health, site performance, and search visibility metrics.
• Support experimentation and continuous optimization initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

Commerce & CMS

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) development experience.
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as AEM, Sitefinity, HubSpot, Contentful, or Webflow.
• Experience with GraphQL and REST API development.

Frontend Technologies

• JavaScript (ES6+)
• HTML5 / CSS3
• ReactJS
• PWA Studio experience preferred
• Responsive web development

Backend Technologies

• PHP
• Magento Framework
• Node.js knowledge preferred
• API integrations and middleware concepts

Cloud & DevOps

• Azure, AWS, or Adobe Cloud environments
• CI/CD pipelines
• Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps
• CDN technologies such as Fastly

SEO & Digital Experience

• Technical SEO fundamentals
• Schema.org / JSON-LD implementation
• Metadata optimization
• Core Web Vitals
• Search Console and Analytics understanding
• Basic understanding of AEO and AI search optimization concepts

• Adobe Commerce Developer Certification.

• Familiarity with Generative AI platforms such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar AI ecosystems.
• Experience supporting digital marketing and content teams.
